Do I have to continue using medication and other devices when using tVNS therapy?
Yes. tVNS may be considered as an add-on therapy to existing treatment protocols (including pharmacotherapy and other options).
No device-medication interactions have been reported to date.
Device-device interactions are possible. tVNS is generally contra-indicated in patients with an active implantable medical device such as a pacemaker, hearing aid implant or any implanted metallic or electronic medical device.
